RED RAIN, 1/4/2011
Mini-review by Kurt Anthony Krug V returns for a second season. The dream sequence at the beginning, where bodies are littering the streets, is reminiscent of ABC’s late, lamented FlashForward. The creators have listened to the audience’s complaints, showing off Ryan’s (Morris Chestnut) baby girl – a human/alien hybrid born last season but never shown. They even show what the aliens look like under the human skin, partially at least – which the audience also wanted to see. That’s good. It goes to demonstrate the creators are listening to the audience. As far as the rest of the episode, the Red Rain is a twist on the Red Dust used in the original V. Also, Anna (Morena Baccarin) is showing more and more human emotion, which she vehemently denies. The captains of the other 28 ships doubt her and she beats one to death with her tail (again showing more of what the aliens looks like). The last scene sold it all as Anna goes to speak to her mother (Jane Badler, who was Diana, the leader of the aliens in the original V franchise in the 1980s). So far, off to a good start. Well, judging by our backend, Chris....A lot of fans are pissed off that ABC isn't providing V for replay airings online...via ABC.com or Hulu.com.

Time to move it half a dozen times and bury it on Fri or Sat night to finish it off.
Makes one wonder why they don't just write it off rather than pretend they aren't. |

I can't even be arsed to delete the series from my DVR. It just keep showing up. I put it on for a little while, oogle Vandervoort, then realise that the plot is so incredibly stupid that I can't take it anymore and delete it.
