Survivors fear that "The Others" may have returned when Sun is injured during a failed kidnapping attempt.
My comment: Don't hurt my baby Sun or there will be hell to pay! :romy: Omicron

She doesn't know what she wants, but she wants it now!

I've never been one to say "If so and so dies I'm not watching the show anymore!!" because I always thought that was silly.... but....
If Sun dies I'm not watching the show anymore! |

1. Sawyer is awesome.
2. I have another reason to hate Charlie. 3. I'm happy my Queen can continue watching LOST.

......the hell was that?
Honestly...what the hell was that? I've never been quite so disappointed in this show. That was, as far as I can remember, the most utterly pointless hour of Lost to date. We learned that Sawyer was and still is a con man: nothing new there. Charlie likes heroin and Claire, but hates John Locke: nothing new there. Freckles likes Sawyer, trusts Jack, and still believes in everything Sawyer says at face value: Nothing new there. Charlie is a douchebag: We learned that last week. Jack and Locke love to bicker: Nothing new there either. Honestly...was this hour just filler so they can stretch a story out longer? |

Huh.
Well....I mean, it wasn't as pointless as last week but yeah, not exactly the most riveting thing I've seen lately. I like how it played out though, the con aspect to it. There is more going on then appears at face value...at least it seems that way. Sawyer has to have some other motivations besides being a douche bag. Why is it that he took all the guns? Maybe I'm just being hopeful though....maybe I want it to get a little deeper then it appeared. Charlie is a dick, but it's surprising that he really didn't want the drugs. Just revenge against Locke. So everyone hates everyone....except Hurley and Sayid. They like each other. Maybe they can carry the plot from now on because god knows I'm getting sick of watching Jack and Locke stare at each other and Kate wandering around like the forlorn love interest that no one cares she is. Sawyer had some good scowls, and he apparently is playing a larger role in the story(?) now, but that's pretty much all he does. Oh....and no one likes Charlie. Yeah....whoopidy doo. Minion: Would voice interest about the timer reaching zero on the next episode preview, but considering how pointless that whole radio thing turned out...why even bother? I actually thought this was a pretty good episode. I really thought Sawyer was going to be conned by Cassidy in the flashback. I also thought Ana assaulted Sun to get people on her side. And I never thought Charlie was involved in the whole thing with Sawyer. This episode kept me guessing throughout the whole hour.
It's interesting to see why Sawyer(and to a lesser extent, Charlie) did this. It reminds me of the old parable of the Frog and the Scorpion. Scorpion wants to get to the other side of the river, asks the frog for a ride. Frog refuses, saying, 'You're a scorpion, you'll sting me and kill me." Scorpion denies that saying, 'Of course, I won't. I'd drown also.' Frog thinks about it and agrees to swim the scorpion to the other side. Halfway across the river, the frog feels a pain in his back from the sting and starts to drown. He asks the scorpion, 'Why'd you do it? Now you'll drown too.' And the scorpion replies, 'I had to, it's in my nature.' Sawyer said this himself. He can't help but being bad. He'd condemn the survivors to being defenseless just because he could. It's an ego thing, or power trip, or something. As for the clock running down next week, it didn't even occur to me that it was a dream, but I can see that. I still think the season will end with the clock actually reaching zeros. Anyone else laugh when Jack and Jin found Sawyer on the computer and he said he almost had the high score at Donkey Kong? ![]() Omicron

That parable was also used in MacGyver once.
I also liked how Kate's mom was the waitress.... Beth Broderick
