Like Freud said, sometime a cigar is just a cigar. He was joking, playing to the crowd. Did you hear the interview? The question came from a vet and he asked ''How many times do we have to prove that these people are blowing up people now, nevermind if they get a nuclear weapon, when do we send 'em an airmail message to Tehran?''

Well, some stuff you don't joke about.
I'm quite aware of McCain's history, that's why it is inexplicable to me that he would advocate a repeat of the same kind of policy that didn't work in the Southeast Asian conflict. .

Two men enter, one man leaves. I kill man leaving & laugh.

On this one, I agree, it was a joke, was it poorly done, and not the best time for it?.......mmm...no, I think the timing is fine, in this grim time, I think its good, to have a little laugh, or two about the threats our nation faces, through out our history we have looked at adversaries and enemy's of our land with some humor, from funny lyrics, to cartoons, to stories. John McCain is a hero, plain and simple, he served his country above, and beyond the call of duty, and later in his life, he has continued to do that.
I watch Cspan allot, because unlike most of my country men, I want to see what our "Great" leaders of our country are up too. I have always found McCain to up front, honest, and in a way, just as fed up with the system as I am. I love my country, I have served it for over 10 years, and I am trying to work for it again, but in the end, im not a fool, America is broken.....its system of Government is failing its people.......not the Service departments, or Military, the leading Bodies themselves, Congress......and the House of our President, we all were cheer on the Democrats to take back Congress, and fix our broken system........ok........when do they start???......I cheered them on, like most everyone, even though I lean more to the Right, in my views, but once again, I sit here and wait....for....NOTHING, they harass Bush, bemoan his policies, bitch about Iraq, wring their hands, blame everyone, but themselves, and then do NOTHING!!!!, Heath Care???......nope, Social Security???...NOPE.........that huge open border, that Mexico LOVES to send its problems across?........noppppeee, still broken, environment?.......nada, failing Auto Industry?......SORRY, TOO BUSY BITCHING ABOUT BUSH!!.........Tax Reform?.....protection of the American worker.....uhh because he's AMERICAN, and you work for him.......nope, sorry out to lunch.......Bush??..... HAHAH, he has no power, so the time of blaming him for every damn problem, short of the Sun exploding in 5 billion years is a waste of time. He's too busy fighting off personal attacks, policy attacks, 50 ft Bunny attacks, you name it, and it’s jumping Bush at this point. When a employee is failing to do his job, you warn him, and write him up, right?...when he continues to fail, you deal with the problem and fire him.......have we forgotten that in this system of Government, that the Lord and Princes in Congress WORK FOR US!!!, and its time to check ALL over their work records, cause as it stands now, we might have to let a few hundred of them go...........

Jebus H. Christ, if people take this seriously then they'll get what they deserve when we elect a president with absolutely no sense of humor.

I don't remember that, but I wouldn't consider the two even remotely similar.

McCain saddens me. I was a supporter in 2000, but it just seems he wants to ruin his chances intentionally now.

When you are a politician. You are never among friends.
You have to think before you open your mouth. That is why the president has every word typed out for him and I am sure someone to teach how to say the words correctly. |
