Angry Think of the Children

After many years of sitting on my ass and watching television, I have come to realize something horrible.

Kelloggs and General Mills are corrupting the youth of today!

Consider the evidence:

Trix - These commercials clearly depict that racism is okay. The kids in these commercials are always chasing down the rabbit and depriving him of his right to eat Trix cereal.

Lucky Charms - Here we have children who are encouraged to actively pursue Lucky and STEAL from him his cereal, sometimes by violent means.

Cocoa Puffs - In these commercials we have children tormenting an obvious junkie and forcing his addiction down his throat, taking great pleasure in his chocolatey high!

Fruity/Cocoa Pebbles
- Here we see Barney lying and sneaking around to get Fred's Pebbles.

The decline of the family unit has nothing to do with two job households, the advent
of the internet, or Jerry Springer. Its cereal makers and their advertisers!

I say this is an outrage! We must protest! We must boycott and write our Senators!
I am going straight to congress with this!

After I eat my Cap'n Crunch!

Oh, I agree. The elitism practiced by the kids in those commericials is disturbing. I've been monitoring the Trix rabbit scandal for many years. Not only do the kids deprive the rabbit of his rights, they blatantly flaunt themselves before him, calling him "silly rabbit", before advising him that "Trix is for kids!"

I dream of the day that the rabbit rises up. I dream of the day he presents himself as the truly superior being, whips out his little bunny-pickle and fires back, "And THIS is for yo mama!"

Another thing I'd love to see. Anyone here ever watch Dora the Explorer? I love the character Swiper the fox. His whole schtick is to sneak up on Dora and her monkey, snatch whatever the important item of the episode is, throw it far away, then laugh and say, "You'll NEVER find it now!"

And I just want once, just ONCE for Dora to retort, "You're such an asshole, Swiper." Because he is! What kind of a thief robs just for the pleasure of throwing it away once he steals from you? That's not a robber... That's an ASSHOLE at work.

I submit that the producers of Dora should change the charaters name to either Swiper the ASSHOLE or ASSHOLE the fox.

And I don't agree that Uniqua and Pablo should be in EVERY EPISODE of The Backyardigans. It's not THEIR show! The other characters aren't in EVERY EPISODE!!! Why them?? Oh! Oh, oh, oh! And that Tyrone? Can't sing worth a SHIT! He's flat! Out of all the talented kids out there, why hire one for a singing role that can't sing?? It's absurd!

You are exactly right and that is why I posted the Lucky Charms topic in the Things that annoy you thread. Because that shit is not right, those poor guys are just trying to do their job and bring home money for their little morphed kids, and these liitle hoodlums come and ruin these mascots lifes......bastards!

Racism? I don’t think you can have racism between humans and animals. I think for something to be racist you would have to be of the same species. Maybe elitism (like Outsydr said) or speciesism (what ever that is) would be a better term.

You had me on that bit about Swiper.

Although you did have me gravely concerned about your mental well being
after that bit about the rabbit with the pickle.

There's more to dig up for this topic though.
The funky-headed islander for Hawaiian Punch clearly advocates violence
to get what he wants.
The Kool-Aid pitcher dude teaches kids it's okay to destroy school or home property.
Leggo My Eggo waffle commercials TOTALLY promotes selfishness, right up there
with the Kit Kat commercials, where sharing is a BIG NO-NO.
Snickers teaches kids that if life sucks, EAT CANDY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM!

And Skittles, well, I'm not sure what message they're promoting for that one.
It's kinda trippy. :OhWell:
