Default Forums and Sub-Forums

You Cinegod type guy,

Just an observation, down in the Superhero Franchises, I don't think anyone even noticed that the Forum has it's own threads - in addition to the Sub Forums above.

Any chance you could move those free standing threads up above the subforum box? I'm sure they'd get noticed more.

When we first opened up, I created a post making the point clear that the Superhero Franchises can also be used as a forum in itself for General Superhero items...but I do see how it can be lost.

For a solution, I have made a Sub-Sub level. Here's what you can now do. Go into the Superhero Franchises Main forum. You will see the category now called Superhero Sub Forums.....and to the right on your screen under a "Posts" box(top far right of screen), you will see a Arrow pointing up. Click on that to "hide" the main subforum listings....This means you can only see the Main Superhero Franchises general posts...like Queen Mae's new Buffy post.

You don't have to "un-hide" the subforums to click on those now. All you have to do is click on the Link for Superhero Sub Forums itself to visit the Sub-Sub level.

So now, the option is for both sides of the coin. For those who want to keep the Subforums on the main level of Superhero franchises...and for those who would like to hide that sub level and yet still access it with ease.

Let's see if this works better.

Hmm....

Seems like fuzzy math to me, but let's give it a shot.

Well,

I'm not here to nit pick. But from the perspective of a board user, all you really did was make the sub-forums into venitian blinds.

Not sure if that's going to help people find the free standing threads that are still under the sub forum.

I'm not complaining - just observing:dunno:

Hmmm.

Let me explain this again.....Now, the Subforums are on a whole seperate level......If I made them venitian blinds, you would have hide and un-hide everytime you needed them.

They still show up on the Main level for those who wish it....Now, though, you click the "hide" feature..and yet still access those forums by clicking on the Superhero Sub Forums" link(with the forums under hide mode).

Their on a different level now, Kaeos.

I did it this way for "both" sides. If I were to move the subforums to "below" the threads only...then I would hear the same comments above on why the subforums are so down the page.

That hide feature is kind of nice because, at least on my computer, it seems to stay hidden even after I close down my browser. Very nice.

Now I never have to worry about superhero movies again!
