At the time we knew it was possible, it was just that the execution in the movie was kinda lame, and that even though it was in it's testing phase audiences found it just too far fetched ! Truth stranger than fiction, and all that !

I don't know about you all, but the invisible car wasn't the only reason I thought DAD was just plain silly. Something about having giant, diamond coated satellites in space melting Icelandic glaciers, villians who have their DNA reworked to be someone else, windsurfing on a tsunami and an airplane that just will not fall down didn't click with me.
