Sailormoon movie?

Ferrell purchases rights to Japanese Anime Sailor Moon March 10, 2008 Will Ferrell at Walk Hard premiere. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, the duo responsible for "Talladega Nights" and "Anchorman," have purchased the movie rights to the Japanese Anime Sailor Moon at an auction in Long Beach today. Will Ferrell's production company Gary Sanchez Productions has purchased the Sailor Moon movie rights from Fox Studios. This would be the first Anime to movie translation project by Sanchez Productions . Ferrell and McKay will serve as executive producers, and Ferrell will star in the movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. When asked about the project Ferrell only had this to say "I think I'll make a sexy Sailor Moon. I was born to play this part, I'm gonna be a glorious heroine." There's no word yet on who will play the other Sailor Scouts, but both John C. Reilly and Justin Long have been rumored as being attached to the project. |

They just did a big article on this on moviehole.net. I think it's acutally true. I'm not sure if they're making a movie, but Ferrell does own the rights now.
