Interesting 2nd ep, but it's still feeling kind of "X-Files"-ish to me. Love John Noble's characterization of the dad, you never know what's gonna come out of his mouth.

On a side note, the location texts got kind of annoying. I like the idea of how they're placed, I just wish they weren't so freaking big!

KINDA FEELING like X-files?

holy SHIT guys gimme a break... FWINGE shoulda been called X-FILES:REDUX because its exactly like x-files!

stand or fall, even X-files was firmly based on Kolchack: the night stalker, but the similarities between Fwinge and X-files borderlines on copywrite infwingement.

BAH! i already own all 9 season of Ecch-files.... fuck this imitation shit.

I liked the second episode enough to give the 3rd a shot. I guess I'm on a week-by-week basis here. I really want to like it because I like Joshua Jackson, and that FBI agent chick is oddly alluring to me.

Thumbs up Re: Fringe

I like it so far. The production values are definitely topnotch. The first ep was a bit better but the hard, transparent skin was straight out of the X Files movie (#1). The assistant agent needs to dial it up a bit.

I hope Bill Gates and Steve Jobs are laughing it up.

Wow. Third ep was pretty great. I loved the whole 'ghost network' being a little out of focus so the guy was going nuts from the images. And the silica the guy unleashed on the bus? Wow. It's hard to believe no one got off the bus considering they saw him put the mask on and freaked out immediately. No one thought to pop the emergency windows? They were sitting right next to them.

How did the disc get inside her hand? There were no surgery scars and I will not believe she concealed it there herself.

Is anybody still watching this? The last episode with the "Observer" bald guy was pretty good, but the show isn't really doing anything to compel me to watch. Each week, I've been kind of like "well, I guess I'll watch it since there's nothing else I want to watch right now". The main reason I've tuned in is John Noble. His character is the best one on the show by far.

Completely agree. I liked this week's episode, and some of the mystery/backstory that they started building up with him and his son. I kind of wish they'd explained what the thing was, but maybe they'll get back to it eventually. I'll keep watching for now. I'm not totally hooked, but I don't hate watching it.

On a related note, Fox has picked up Fringe for a whole season.

Oh, well, if Fox isn't screwing us out of a whole season, I might watch some more. I'm DVRing the series, but have only watched the pilot so far. I've got too many other things to catch up on, so I'll probably not get to this until December.

I miss x-files. So, I can get my fix by watching this.

I too wish they would do away with the big text of locations. Just a small blurb at the bottom is fine by me.

Maybe they did not want to do that then they would be alot like x-files.
