Where Did AnimeonDVD.com Go?
So I checked AnimeonDVD.com 1 more time before turning off the computer and going to sleep. I clicked the bookmark and got redirected to Mania.com. Are the AOD forums porting over here or are they gone?

They added a link on their home page "AnimeonDVD Forums"
The new location is http://www.mania.com/aodvb/ AnimeOnDVD.com is replaced to Mania.com right now like News, Articles, etc |

Well this is really intuitive... been a while since I registered with mania when the news was first broached, and it could be made a bit more obvious that your username is actually your email address. Having to log into the (mania) forums and the site seperately but with the same login is also counterintuitive, especially when if you enter you forum login incorrectly rahter than just telling you this it sends you to your profile.
If you must have a site built around absolute dimensions then you really need to rethink your lowest denominator - just look how less cramped the BBC home page is for example. Oh and, hi Lance, sorry for hijacking your thread with a rant. |

Mania still needs to work out the kinks from the LAST database merger... now they want to absorb animeonDVD.com's database too? BAD MOVE HAHA!! good luck... we're just getting back to a little bit of normal... now this?

I really don't think they will merge the two forum database together. This forum is a bit unusable to browse or post anything in it quite yet, so keeping it separate will be best for now. Just lots of stuff in here it just slows the loading time so much.

merged out of interest? hmm.. i dunno... if Mania aquired animeondvd.com then no doubt theres plans afoot to merge their databases together so that members can log into mania and go to animeondvd and continue without reloging in... at least in theory.
in any event, welcome aboard CyberInviso and Shiro Hane! When it comes to anime... we can compare notes, i'm not to fond of buying DVD series (I got suckered into buying 6 volumes of BERSERK, and they tend to suck your wallet dry fast) but I do enjoy buying feature length anime movies, my favorite being Metropolis. anyway, i prefer giant robots over ninja warriors and the typical (I've dubbed the) "High School Romance, love and Guy With Sword fights monsters and saves the girl" serials that are really popular right now. i like GITS and Gundam, Macross, Wraith of the Ninja and oh... I also like BLACK LION...LOL!!!
