I've never heard of HIM or "Layer Cake", to be honest. I did the ole "Google" thing and found out a little about his film and him. Apparently he's Guy Ritchie's main producing partner on his films. So, with one directorial credit to his resume and basically him being more of a producer..... I don't know. I mean, one thing that Marvel seems to do with a lot of their films: They find directors who are either known people or unknown, but they always wind up saying the same thing..... that they find the right fit for their projects. I mean, whod've thought that Fantastic Four would've been directed by the guy who gave us the Barbershop films? So, I don't know, maybe this guy's got just what they were looking for that Singer brought to the franchise. In many ways, having this somewhat unknown might be what they need. It's going to be tough to NOT think of Bryan Singer being involved in this, but let's just see what he can do. Besides, I'm more concerned with who is going to be brought in for the SCREENPLAY more than anything else. I hope that Dan Harris is still associated with this.
