ok so somebody post a summary of the series, for those of us who probably wont get the read the books.. like how'd the riddler find out the Bat's identity and stuff..

Like, here's something i rEAD IN a review, about #618..

Oracle thinks there is, and after showing Batman her results from examining an electronic relay the Dark Knight found implanted beneath one of the Batcave computers, Batman arranges a late-night meeting on the Gotham Bridge with yet another face from his past:

Real quick breakdown of the Hush storyline

Batman is on a millionaire-heir rescue mission when Killer Croc shows up. During the fight, Catwoman steals the ransom money and takes off. Bats swings after her, but his line is cut and he falls, suffering severe head injuries. His comrades (Huntress, I think) save him and he is operated on by a childhood friend Dr. Thomas Elliot. Turns out Cats was under the influence of Poison Ivy, who has the ransom money and she is in Metropolis. Bats and Cats go there, only to encounter a Kryptonite-lipstick-possessed Superman under Poison Ivy's control. Supes and Bats fight until Supes shakes free of the mind control. Together they track down Ivy and regain the loot. During this storyline, Bats and Cats start a relationship. Back in Gotham, Bruce and Tommy take in a show with Selina. Harley Quinn shows up and steals a pendant from Tommy. Tommy gives chase, only to be apparently shot by the Joker. Batman beats the living shit out of the Joker, who keeps saying he's innocent. Bats is about to kill the Joker until Jim Gordon puts a gun to Bats' head and orders him to stop. Bruce and Dick attend Tommy's funeral. Batman and Nightwing foil a routine robbery by the Riddler, whose getaway truck has ash from the Lazarus Pit. Batman reveals his identity to Catwoman at Nightwing's suggestion. He then kidnaps Talia in order to confront her father Ra's al Ghul. Bats and Ra's fight in North Africa and Bats wins. Ra's says that someone defiled one of his pits and wants answers. Oh, Shiva and Catwoman (guarding Talia) fight and Cats gets his clocked cleaned by Shiva, who in turn is betrayed by Talia. Back at the cave, Robin and Cats fight, until Bats tells Boy Wonder that Cats knows he is Bruce. Cats leaves in a huff, while Bats and Robin follow her. Scarecrow shows up and he and Bats fight it out in a graveyard. At this point a bandaged figure in a trenchcoat appears and takes Robin hostage. The bandaged figure reveals himself to be Jason Todd, returned from the dead. Bats and Todd fight it out until "Todd" begins to dissolve to clay (it was Clayface). Bats knows Clay is not the mastermind behind all this. Bats visits Oracle who informs him that his computer was bugged and realizes who betrayed him. Bats meets the traitor : Harold, the hunchbacked mute who works on the Batmobile. Harold can speak now and stand upright. He apologizes to Bats and begs forgiveness, which Bats grants right before Harold is murdered by the real "Hush". Bats and Hush fight, and Bats realizes Hush is Tommy Elliot (The Elliot shot was Clayface posing as him). Elliot dives off the bridge. Bats follows but can't find him. Suddenly we're in Arkham and Bats is questioning the real mastermind behind all of this : the Riddler. Apparently the Riddler had a brain tumor, which he cured by illegally dipping in the Lazarus pit, which gave him a foresight into Bats identity. Riddler then relates how he met Elliot and Tommy hated Bruce so much (Bruce's dad lost Tommy's dad but saved Tommy's mom from a car crash Tommy engineered, thus preventing Elliot from getting his inheritance). Riddler brags how now Bats is powerless. Bats says he's not worried because if Riddler trades on his identity, he'll tell Ra's who used up his pit. Bats knows Riddler cannot survive Ra's or his League of Assassins. Bats is angry that Jason Todd's grave is still empty and demands to know where the body is. Riddler laughs and Bats knocks him out. Bats and Cats break off their relationship, as Bats realizes he cannot trust her. The end.

well on that last part I think Bruce was just being a jackass to Selina, but could be jsut me and my hatred for emotionally distant men who always push any women that get close to them away. Yes, I have issues. No wonder I liked Batman books so much.
