This may be my lamest title yet.
Angel And The Ape by Junkyard- My very favorite movie concept idea. The lines are lousy on this one, because it's a re-submission of an earlyer one that was rejected. Enter The Hulk by jjmarreiro- Nice "right before the action" pic. Catwoman by catseye- Pretty good. The edges are a tad indistinct, but the shading's great. Blade: Day Walker by ali786- I like this one. Well drawn, and the subtle city skyline in the back is perfect. Dark Knight by sickboy_ukuk- Pretty good action shot for straight paintbrush. Batman Endurance by dsimpsons1- Interesting takeson the charicters. Dawn by kevin newburn- I like this style. A little less dramatic than the usual Dawn pictures. The Crow: Innocence Lost by AfterShock- Pretty good. A Knight's Work Is Never Done by Spiderman620815- Wish I could say I loved it, but, well, I can't see it. A little too small, or a little too light. I can't tell. Jazz- Special Ops by Powermaster Jazz- There's a Transformer named Jazz? Huh... Oh, anyway, well done. Xmen Begins by mac10- Cool sort of DC like re-boot. Well drawn, as always. Nightwing by lordmesa- This one's a keeper. I've been looking for a good, clear picture of Nightwing, and you sir are an answer to my prayers. Blinkme! by show_u_who_i_am- Nice. Who's that as Blink? Aquaman 2004 by The Imij Factory- Pretty good with what you showed, but it looks like you copped out on the watery left hand. Batman Villian Poem Manip 2: Poison Ivy by Winterhawk- I like these. The semi- real style works quite well, I'd say. One question- who's playing Ivy here? Lilandra Neramani by Chartreuse93- Great piece. Overall, a great update! I don't (and won't) have time to do the UIR with my usual depth, so here's a quickie instead.
Angel And The Ape by Junkyard: A good cut-n-paste and recolour, one of your better pieces IMO. The edges are a bit ugly. Enter The Hulk by jjmarreiro: Nice drawing, cool perspective. Well coloured, good to see some shading on the Hulk. Catwoman by catseye: Art Notes please. Good piece, if kinda pixelly and with some messy edges. The costuming's quite good, nice textures. I think it could maybe use slightly deeper shadows. Blade: Day Walker by ali786: Great piece of work, is it all Photoshop? Beautiful colours, and the musculature's really well done. Cool background too. And from scratch! Kudos. Dark Knight by sickboy_ukuk: Nice simple piece. Really good for Paint. Some of the lines are a bit, er, lumpy. Batman Endurance by dsimpsons1: Art notes would be nice. Good piece overall, great work on Bats. The lack of the grainy effect on Orlando feels odd. Also, his hair's kinda painty and his lips could use work... they should really be more than just a recolour of the surrounding skin IMO. Dawn by kevin newburn: Dawn's always cool. Excellent drawing, as always. Great details, especially the chains and roses. If I had time, I'd love to colour this. Maybe later. The Crow: Innocence Lost by AfterShock: Decent piece, the makeup's well done. The skin tone's a bit flat, you might try to bring the shadows and highlights out more. A Knight's Work Is Never Done by Spiderman620815: Experimentation is always good. Cool perspective. A nice drawing, but it could use more detail, it's rather hard to make out what's going on. Jazz- Special Ops by Powermaster Jazz: What medium is this? Just curious, it's really well done. Nice colours, and I love the rust (I guess that's what it is), great touch. Xmen Begins by mac10: Great work, as always. I really like Iceman and Magneto. Cyke's head seems kinda bulbous. Nightwing by lordmesa: Awesome work as always. Great linework, gorgeous colours. Nitpick: His front leg somehow seems to be both too big overall and too short lengthwise. It is kinda hard to tell with the perspective, though. Blinkme! by show_u_who_i_am: Very good recolour, nice skintones though a touch more shadow would be good. The power effect's very nice as well. Who's the actress? She looks familiar. Aquaman 2004 by The Imij Factory: Good piece. Nice colours and textures. Not a huge fan of the painted-on school of costuming, but I know that's your style, so that's cool. Batman Villian Poem Manip 2: Poison Ivy by Winterhawk: Very nice poem, very nice manip. Great skin tones, though I think the highlight on her face is a touch overdone. Superb work also on her costume. Lilandra Neramani by Chartreuse93: Gorgeous piece, favourite of the update. The cloak and armour are really well done, I love the texture on the latter. Nice skintones too, way better than most attempts at pale skin. Only thing I'd change is to add some wrinkles and seams to the costume, it's a bit lacking in detail. |

Angel And The Ape by Junkyard—Nice work The hair and jacket recolor are pretty much seamless. I wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t said. The only complain on this one is the edges. I almost wish I were familiar with the series based on this piece.
Enter The Hulk by jjmarreiro-- Very cool piece and I like the angle on the piece and the subtle shading on the Hulk Catwoman by catseye-- Some more shading on the costume would be nice. Also I’m not sure what you were going for with the half a mask on her but if you were trying to show both Selina and Catwoman it would have worked better if you did it half and half all the way head to toe. Blade-- Day Walker by ali786—Gorgeous piece. Its awesome that you did that entirely from scratch in photoshop. I love the tattoos. And the very subtle background is perfect. A definite fave. Dark Knight by sickboy_ukuk—Really great action piece for Paint. Batman Endurance by dsimpsons1—Not sure if the pixelation on Robin, Alfred and Gordon is intentional but the lack of it on the Joker and Batman’s cowl make it stand out. The work on Bat’s cowl and the Joker as a whole are nicely done but there seems to be an odd light coming out from under the cowl on Bat’s nose. Dawn by kevin newburn—Not all that familiar with the character but I like the costume design and the image as a whole is gorgeous. I especially love the detail on the roses. The Crow-- Innocence Lost by AfterShock-- Nice recolor work. White is very hard to do. And the makeup is well done as well. A Knight's Work Is Never Done by Spiderman620815-- From what I can see of it I really like the perspective work on it. But unfortunately it is very small and most of the lighter detail is lost. Jazz- Special Ops by Powermaster Jazz—I’d love to know what you used to make this piece. Really sweet image. Xmen Begins by mac10—Really cool costume redesign and I really like the shadow Magneto in the background. Nightwing by lordmesa—I really like your style both in color and line work. But like “B” mentioned something seems a bit wonky with his leading leg. Blinkme! by show_u_who_i_am—Another really nice recolor piece with nice power signature work. I would really like to see you take a shot at costuming at some point. Aquaman 2004 by The Imij Factory—Really good choice of a base pic – if a bit small. Costuming is well done as well. Batman Villian Poem Manip 2: Poison Ivy by Winterhawk-- Really gorgeous piece. For not wanting to look totally real you came awesomely close. The only slightly unreal part to me is the coloration of her skin seems a bit hyper saturated. Superb work on the costume. Lilandra Neramani by Chartreuse93—This is absolutely gorgeous. I love the texture on the boots and bodysuit. The headpiece is stunning and the background is perfect. Definite fave of the update. One tiny quibble… for some reason the hands seem a hair too large. But still gorgeous work. |
