Default I don't want to live in a world that . . .

requires security screening to go into schools, hospitals, airports, buildings . . .

that requires packaging that is so tamper proof, they are difficult to open at best . . .

where bars and barbed wire have to be used in residential neighborhoods . . .

where the innocent continue to be punished for the crimes of the guilty.

That's my rant for the day. Feel free to add your own.

Default I don't want to live in a world that....

refuses to let people define themselves as something OTHER than Liberal or Conservative.

allows the government of a nation to be controled by political parties

That doesn't have space and resources set aside, designated to serve the people and communities, rather than rich corporations/the elite. That doesn't value art and ideas as high or higher than profit. That values the shallow and superficial, and the meaningful is forgotten.

That doesn't think Time bandits is the greatest movie of all time and Octo***** isn't the greatest bond movie of all time.

I rank Time Bandits in my top 25 films of all time. Glad to see someone else out there realizes what a work of true genius that film is.

I went to the theater 5 consecutive days when it came out. At the end the theater was refusing my money at the concession stand and gave me the popcorn and sodas for free . . .

On a side note, perhaps we should say Octopussoir from now on...

In this case, a little creative spelling is entirely in order:

Octopussie, Octopussee, Octopussey

I wouldn't put it in the top 25, but it's definitely an underrated movie.

Sean Connery plus John Cleese plus Ian Holm plus time travel - how could it not be great??
