This conversation can continue. Last I recall conversations were revolving around symbolism in Superman (which can be started in a new thread BTW), and someone mentioned Wolfgang Petersen.

Apparently Jonathan Frakes might sit in the director's chair after finishing the Thunderbirds movie. Before I might have thought he would be okay for a choice of director after Star Trek First Contact, but given his lack of respect for the Thunderbirds franchise, I don't think this is such good news for Superman.
