Aw crap. I eman.. HOLY CRAP!

Check this out! http://www.comics2film.com/FanFrame.php?f_id=6348

-----------------------------------------
Cable network Sci Fi on Monday announced it is developing Mike Mignola's Amazing Screw-On Head as animated series.

Here's how the network described the show:

"Adapted from the critically acclaimed, Eisner Award winning comic book by Mike Mignola (Hellboy), Amazing Screw-On Head is a half-hour animated comedy based on the exploits of one of history's unsung heroes. A secret agent who never made the history books, Screw-On Head is in the employ of the U.S. Government. A robot that screws his head onto a wide variety of bodies, Screw On Head battles those who threaten our civilization."

Bryan Fuller and Jason Netter will executive produce. Fuller will be writing and Netter, of Kickstart Productions, will oversee animation.
-----------------------------------------

HOLY CRAP!

I thought it was amazing that Hellboy was made itno a movie. Now Screw On-Head is getting animated. Amazing. Here's hoping they stick with it's weirdness and out of the blue oddball moments and characters.

It may be just a one issue one shot so far, but it's some of Mignola's best and oddest work.

Lots going on in the life of comedy genius Bryan Fuller at the moment!

...

Don’t feel too bad for young Bryan. In a matter of weeks he hopes to start casting SciFi’s animated half-hour “Amazing Screw-On Head,” which Fuller adapted from the comic book character created by Mike Mignola (“Hellboy”). It’s a supernatural Civil War-era tale about an otherworldly U.S. operative who can screw his head onto a variety of bodies.

New interview / update.

Wow. This one is sounding quite excellent. Some changes away from teh comic, then some changes back, and a bunch of cool new stuff because, well, it was only one issue so far. I can't wait to see this happen.

Just a cool casting update.

"Paul Giamatti has signed with Sci Fi Channel to voice the lead character in the animated series pilot 'Amazing Screw-On Head,' from exec producers Bryan Fuller ('Wonderfalls') and Jason Netter.

Cabler last year quietly commissioned the pilot, based on Mike Mignola's ('Hellboy') comicbook of the same name.

David Hyde Pierce, Molly Shannon and Patton Oswalt also will lend their voices to the project."

Very very cool. I can't wait for this sucker to start airing! Still a long ways off of when if that happens, but it's getting closer.

Cool. Cheers for keeping us (me at least) informed. But what's happening with it lately?
Screw on head is awesome. Dead Like Me was great too.

Naw. This show is still in production. Right now I think there's just a lull in reportable news. I do belive it is on track for Sci Fi, unlike their other series that caught my eye, the live action adapatation of the anime Witch Hunter Robin.
