With only two weeks to go before John Connor (Christian Bale) renews his battle with the machines in Terminator Salvation, Warner Bros. Pictures has released some new clips from the film online. One of those new videos is an extended four minute look into the action taking place in this fourth installment of the popular franchise. We're passing it along here but if you want to go into the movie surprised about certain aspects of the story, the best course of action would be to hold off from watching it. Do you have the will power to say no?

Here's the test. You can watch the four minute clip at Apple.

You can also watch one of the clips in the video player below courtesy of IGN. This next film, the first part of a planned trilogy, stars Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common, Jane Alexander and Helena Bonham Carter. Director McG led the production, based on a script by John Brancato and Michael Ferris.

Plot Summary: The highly anticipated new installment of "The Terminator" film franchise is set in post-apocalyptic 2018. John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future that Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

Terminator Salvation will hit theaters May 21, 2009.

I hate to admit it, but Terminator Salvation is my most highly anticipated movie of the Summer. Every clip I have seen so far gives me the movie going goosebumps.

Is Anton Yelchin playing Kyle Reese? It looked like it based on the clip. That dude is in two huge movies.

What I`m getting from that 4 minute clip is that the future was actually changed but not necessarily in a good way. I like that. It allows them to pretty much do what they want and not being constrained by the previous movies. Its kind of like what Star Trek just did.

Totally looking forward to this.

Why do you hate to admit it Pony?  The film looks great from the trailers and it has Bale in it to offset McG.  I'm pretty sure Christian Bale directed the film and McG gets the credit.  Sort of like the Cleveland Cavaliers are really coached by Lebron James but Mike Brown has to act like the coach.

This is my second most anticipated film.  What's that?  You want to know what the first one is?  Five letters...........B-R-U-N-O.  That is all.

I can't wait to see this i love the glimpse of L.A. all Nuked and a wasteland in the beginning of the piece.

I didnt know Common was in this. He's always a Badass even though he always pretty much plays the same character... haha.

Maybe I'm not keeping up on current events, but I just realized that Bryce Dallas Howard's character's name is Kate Conner. So they are continuing, at least in part, from T3. I'm fine with that. A lot of people hated 3, but it ended the way it needed to end: with the inevitable. And if they wanted to, since it does look like they feel something's changed according to John Conner, they could even somewhat tie in TSCC if they wanted to. I'd be fine with that too. Nothing about any of the movies or the series has faltered much from the big picture. It's all about Judgement Day and Skynet, no matter what happens. How they get there and deal with it doesn't matter to me as long as it's a fun ass ride.

I agree Sgt, Michael Ironsides is badass in anythng he does.

Totally i remember Ironside when he was Ham Tyler for the V the mini series .He was bad ass then and has continued to this day.

Yeah the future is changed a bit but it all boils down to the war cut n dry. I  like how it's pretty conventional with the machines being vunerable to those weapons

Thats why i say tons more they can do for a 5th movie , T800 Technology , more advanced Hk's and the use of the plasma rifles.

Continue exploring the future wold thats why there's no reason to make another one and do more stupid time travel idea's about present day nonsense. The path is clear to explorer the future and the struggle and show them taking down the facility that houses where they jump through time.

I hate it when Commanders Ego trip and refuse to consider their officers' suggestions especially if they feel so strongly about them..... DAMNIT! =)

Its kind of funny that Star Trek and Terminator are usng the same technique in which to kind of reboot their respective franchises. The ole future been changed  and altered racket. It worked well for Star trek so I`m sure it will for this.
