Fox has pre-emptively grabbed the rights to an upcoming sci-fi thriller video game called Zero-G and plans to make a tent pole release out of it. The studio picked up the early rights, based on the game currently in development by Daniel Jevons, from Union Entertainment. It will be produced by UE's Richard Leibowitz, Temple Hill Entertainment's Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen and the Gotham Group's Ellen Goldsmith-Vein.

Plot Concept:
Created by Daniel Jevons that's still a work in progress, the story revolves around a major U.S. city being attacked by a devastating, never-before-seen weapon.

I read the title to this movie & it made me think of Nintendo's F-Zero at first.

"Pre-emptively grabbed the rights to an upcoming sci-fi thriller video game". That is Hollywood speak for "we don't want Uwe Boll to make this movie." Way to go Fox!!!

Like many video game to movie cross-overs there is great potential. The only thing that they have to stay away from is the one thing that is the Bane of all good movies, Uwe Boll. The could get my half deaf, one armed, blind cousin to direct this movie and it will better than if Boll were to. If you do not believe me I got just one word and a number for you, BloodRayne 2. Nuff Said.

That's right. Uwe Boll, aside from a few movies, has made mostly video game adaptations. I say just stick with the video games, and skip the movie versions.

I don't keep up with all the Uwe Boll news, but wasn't his career supposed to be over because of a tax law that was changed in Germany (where his funding was coming from)?............... To me this is Hollywood speak for "comic book rights may be getting too expensive so let's jump on the next gravy train, video games". You want a tent pole film, why not Halo?

I don't know how to break this to you dudes, but according to IMDB the notorious B.O.L.L. is fast at work on BloodRayne 3. I'm with you guys I don't understand how he keeps getting money to make crappy movies. I don't think I have ever seen one of his movies all the way through. From what I heard and I think Mania themselves even said it, BloodRayne 1 was a top five candidate for worst movie ever.
