Megan Fox turned a few heads in TRANSFORMERS so when it comes to her possibly starring in the horror comic adaptation of HACK/SLASH, it's worth taking a look. Ryan Rotten over at Shock Til You Drop is also a pretty reliable source of information (unlike other sites out and about) and he's reporting that an inside source has told him that Megan Fox is "really interested" in playing the role of Cassie Hack in the upcoming film adaptation of the comic.

The story features Cassie Hack as a monster/killer bounty hunter who goes after the worse of the lot, from driving through Haddonfield (Halloween) to cruising down Elm Street(Nightmare on Elm Street) to fighting or working alongside a killer doll (Chucky) .

When this was first announced a few months back, I was curious how they were going to convince studios to let these "horror characters" they own into the movie. Do you have any ideas, Maniacs? Will this work in movie form?

There are probly better choices for Cassie Hack out there, hell if I can think of one off the top of my head though. The comic is great, currently it's my favorite.

The comic book is basically a post-modern take on horror movies already (yes, I said "post-modern"). To adapt it into a movie would be a movie copying a comic book that's copying movies. But then, it's stuff like that that's made the comic book so irresistable. It's like Buffy is with vampires, in a good sense. Plus, it was already a play. If anything can be put on stage, then it's vitually guarrenteed to be be brilliant in a movie. I say that with all the theatre snobbery it implies.

I reckon they're gonna hope to use "fair use" to avoid legal troubles. Hey, Scary Movie did it...
