As you've heard in Stephen Lackey's weekly installment of TV Wasteland, 20th Century Fox TV has ordered a full season of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. There were rumors of the show getting canceled after lacking ratings during this second season but the network has decided to give the show a chance through its full season, a choice opposite of what the network has usually come under fire by fans since they frequently have a habit of canceling genre shows too quickly.

The cast and crew were informed of the decision late Friday. The back-nine order was far from certain ad the show has been struggling in its Monday night timeslot. But "Sarah Connor" has developed a fan base and some positive critical attention along the way.

"Sarah Connor" was preempted last week due to baseball playoff coverage, but in its last airing, on Oct. 6, averaged a 2.3 rating and 6 share among adults 18-49, which was up slightly from the prior week.

The series stars Lena Headey, Thomas Dekker, Summer Glau, Brian Austin Green, Richard T. Jones, Garret Dillahunt, Leven Rambin and Shirley Manson.

I think Fox made a good decision to keep the show going. I fine the show very entertaining and I can't miss one episode!

I agree. This show, faults and all, is my second must watch show. Hopefully the ratings will pick up now that we know a full season has been green lit. Still going against MNF and Chuck isn't the preferred time slot.

Well, after they got hammered for canceling other shows like "Firefly" I think they knew the fanbase was going to come after them with torches.  Thank God somebody at FOX has some sense.

Even if it doesn't make it for a third season, maybe they can at least write an ending.  I hope they keep going though.  It's one of the best shows on television!

Wow, i'm shocked....Fox is actually giving a struggling sci-fi show a chance to find its legs.   They probably don't want to rock the boat more than they are this year especially with the T movie coming out next summer.

Fox made a good decision. There is such a fan base for this show. It's awesome show and well done. Im so happy they are picking it up for a full season.

They already added 2 extra episodes 14 and 15.

Im so siked.

Sure glad Baloney convinced me not to stop watching cause I was ready to bail due to cancelation.  Now if I'm understanding correctly, it seems that SC has lived to see another day, that is until Fox finds a suitable series to replace it with since Dollhouse went down the tube.

yeah i like the idea of a longer season.  I like what they are doing with the future war tie ins and of course when ever they smoke a terminator.

hanso, baloney is one of the reasons why I watch the show. Him and pony both recommended it strongly. Which brings me to question, where the hell is joey? I don't think I've seen him post anything in at least a week. I sure hope he isn't drunk somewhere and lost his way home.
