Can't wait for the new television season to begin, reader? Well, Fox is answering the call somewhat by releasing two of their upcoming shows, K-VILLE & PRISON BREAK, online at their official site as well as a number of other web portals. Even though Fox's fall lineup doesn't officially begin until September 17, 2007, they are putting up the entire premiere of their new action cop drama, K-VILLE, which stars Cole Hauser and Anthony Anderson as detectives in New Orleans. Also up at their site is the first 17 minutes of the first episode (Season 3) of PRISON BREAK which stars Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller attempting to plan another break. This is an online strategy that Fox has caught onto after NBC and ABC did the same for their shows, Heroes & Lost.
"It is critical that we embrace the Internet as a distributed medium that promotes engagement with users, wherever they are on the Web," said Fox's William Bradford, Senior Vice President, Content Strategy. "This approach reinforces the importance of involving fans to assist with marketing the show through word of mouth and discussion forums across the Internet."
Plot Summary for K-VILLE Series Premiere: Story centers on a police drama set and entirely filmed in New Orleans two years after Katrina. Parts of the city are still in chaos, but hope endures as the cops who remain in the NOPD have courage to burn and a passion to reclaim and rebuild their city.
Plot Summary for PRISON BREAK Season 3 Premiere: The new season returns for its exciting third season with Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) forced to mastermind a daring escape from a hellish Panamanian prison where there are no guards, no rules and seemingly no way out.
Here's the official Fox site.
