Fox wants more than just one DOZEN

Sequel to last year's CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN film in the works

It was bound to happen: 20th Century Fox has tapped the screenwriter of last year's CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN remake to begin work on a sequel. The Steve Martin-starring comedy was one of last year's holiday hits, earning more than $135 million dollars at the box office.

Sam Harper will begin writing the untitled sequel immediately and Fox is expecting to have it in their hands sometime in the summer. That will give the studio some time to start approaching the cast from the first film and begin working on contract and scheduling issues.
