An adaptation of a horror stage show is getting prepped for the big screen. Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes have hired Frank Borin to direct the feature adaptation of The Butcherhouse Chronicles, reports Variety. Known as a music video director for "Good Charlotte" and "Breaking Benjamin", Borin has recently been attached to also direct Lionsgate's thriller Kidnapped as well.
Plot Concept: Created by Michael Hidalgo, the story will be based off a darkly comic horror stage show about four high school students out to discover the truth behind a mysterious old property known as the Butcherhouse only to find that the house is in fact cursed by evil spirits.
. It premiered in New York in 2006.
Platinum Dunes are the producers behind the recent remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (pictured) and the upcoming modern takes of Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
