In a brief interview with Sci Fi Wire, Frank miller talked about the upcoming sequel Sin City 2.

"We have all kinds of technical things we want to do, but there's a major story called A Dame to Kill that we're going to adapt," Miller said. "That'll include a new femme fatale and other characters."

Rumors have Angelina Jolie playing the role of Ava, ex-lover of Clive Owen's Dwight.

"There are a number of short stories that will be interlaced between them and a brand new story that I'm just developing right now featuring Nancy Callahan [Jessica Alba] and her reaction to the death of John Hartigan (Bruce Willis), who likely won't appear in the sequel]," Miller added.

Miller also confirmed that he does plan to co-direct the film.

Oh man, a new story, that is cool. A Dame to kill for is a great story.

Spoliler

I wonder who if they are going to have 2 people play Dwight, or are they just going to have Owen in some kind of make up. Before the surgery, he looks nothing like Clive Owen. I`m also looking forward to seeing who they get to play Ava. In the book she is drawn, smokin hot. Angelina would be perfect.

SPOILERS BASED OFF "AD2K4"

Agreed, Pony! Angelina is perfect for the role. For Dwight pre-hair job, I vote for Matt Fox; same height, about the same age, but then again, Matt's voice is a bit higher but that can be incorporated as a byproduct of the whole surgery. Either way, this is going to kick major tail. Looking forward to "Hell and Back" and "300" (drooooooooooool).

Can not wait for this one, and as for the casting of Jolie... they can put her in a monkey suit and have her throw poo in the film, I will still watch it.

I read, in Wizard I think, where they were doing a "casting call" and they had Anthony Michael Hall slated as Dwight pre-surgery. He looked a lot like the frame they showed. It seemed he could work.

I'm sorry, but this is one comic that just didn't translate well to the big screen. It came off as camp.

Thank you muchdrama. I love the GN's of this series and was looking forward to this movie for a long time. Once I saw it though, I was highly disappointed. It did come off as camp because the written dialogue didn't translate well to spoken word. It was beautifully shot of course, but the dialogue and some of the acting was just too over the top and out there. I still love the books though.

I’ll respect anyone’s opinion, but this was probably one of the most original movie adaptations I’ve seen in a while. You have to admit they could’ve screwed it up completely. Before I get mashed, I know Miller had a direct hand in the project; it still could’ve been screwed. Angelina is a smokin’ stunner in anything she does, I'd love to see her in this story. I’m looking forward to this and certainly looking forward to “300”, manjisan.

Hey, its cool. Everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinion, but I don't get it. This was one of the best comic book adaptations I have ever scene. To me its right up there with Spidey. I don`t think it came off camp at all, especially if you`ve read the GN`s. They were pretty much word for word on the dialogue. Frank Miller`s whole Sin City world is supposed to totally over the top, which the movie showed properly. I guess some people get it and some don`t. I can`t wait for this.

If they would have made it in a more realistic fashion, then it would have taken away from the whole point of the movie. RR wanted to literally take the GN and put it on the big screen. I think he achieved that.
