Indie distributor Freestyle Releasing is prepping a new "Haunting" excursion for audiences this Halloween. HR is reporting that the people who released An American Haunting in 2005 have now grabbed the release rights for The Haunting of Molly Hartley and they're planning it for at least 2,000 prints, something not usual for smaller distributors. John Travis and Rebecca Sonnenshine penned the script while Mickey Liddell is making his directorial debut. The film stars two "Dead" remake stars Jake Weber (Dawn of the Dead), AnnaLynne McCord (Day of the Dead), "Gossip Girl's" Chace Crawford, Josh Stewart and Jessica Lowndes.
Plot Concept: Molly, a seventeen-year-old girl who recently moved to a new town for a fresh start after her mother's terrifying psychotic break. While struggling to find her place amongst the cliques at her new private school, she becomes haunted by disturbing visions and voices that expose a dark secret from her past. Can she separate fact from fiction before it's too late?
