I second you peak... looks/sounds good. The original is one of my favorite vampire movies, but open for a redo.

Update: Just a few hours after unleashing three screenshots of their remake, Fright Night 3D, DreamWorks Pictures has passed along another trilogy of pics. Check out all six images down below.
Original: DreamWorks Pictures and AOL Moviefone have revealed the first set of photos for Fright Night 3D, the upcoming remake of the '80s cult classic. The studio is showing off most of the main characters in the new pics down below but two noticeable absentees are David Tennant ("Doctor Who") as the new Vincent Price and Toni Collette as the mother of Charlie. The 3D remake stars Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Imogen Poots, David Tennant and Toni Collette. Helmer Craig Gillespie led the direction, based on a screenplay by Marti Noxon.
Plot Concept: Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all going on: he's running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he's so cool he’s even dissing his best friend. But trouble arrives when Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right—but everyone, including Charlie's mom (Toni Collette), doesn't notice. After observing some very strange activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.
Fright Night 3D will bite into 3D/2D theaters August 19, 2011.

Not sure how I feel about this. The original is one of my favorite vampire films. Also, I have to add that David Tennant should be playing Peter Vincent rather than Vincent Price, unless they have changed the character. With Hollywood, nothing would surprise me.
the original scared the crap outta me as a kid. Hopefully they will do the same to this and make it as scary as it is fun.
Just hope they use the same Music as the Original the seductive synth style score was great.
Easily, the thing I loved about the first film was Roddy McDowell. The thing that attracts me to this film is David Tennant. How they are going to go the route of a washed up horror show host is beyond me. That was appropriate in the 80's when they were much more common on local stations. And, Vincent was supposed to be an actor in a couple of bad Hammer like films. It should be interesting to see how that is updated.
Looks SWEET! I love the original, but this looks really good. Didn't realize Colin Farrel was playing the Vamp. Very Cool!
I'm actually excited about this. Even though I love the original, it's one of those stories that can be remade for another generation. Love the cast, too.
