Not everybody went down the escalator hence not everybody was dying.

I am a huge fan of Fringe (was stoked to see reviews on Mania) but I have to say the lady picking up that if you stand still you dont die made me go WTF? I agree that everyone would have panicked and died. I commented last week that I thought the writing was a little off and I have to say it seemed that way again this week.

I do believe that its because they had been writing with the thought that this could be the last season but with the green light for 13 more episodes they have made some 'adjustments' and thats what we are seeing and its coming across as incoherent and a little sloppy.

By time they were writing and filming these they didn't know if they were being cancelled or not. They said they weren't going to change stuff to fit in an end just in case they get cancelled.

it must be tough to enjoy things when you're constantly scrutinizing and second-guessing the plausability of every scene.......

I try not to over-think too many things when it comes to sci-fi, one reason being that there is a lot I don't know and even as I'm thinking bullshit, it might actually exist, the other reason is that it's sci-fi and I can accept the un-acceptable in order to enjoy it.  It's obviously not for everyone.

I love this show and the episodes keep getting better and better, it was very awesome to see Mr. Nimoy coming out of retirement to reprise his second best character of all-time!  JJ Abrams must have developed a good friendship with him because he's in the new Star Trek film too.......super cool.......
