Fringe: Concentrate and Ask Again

“He still has feelings for her.”

Three soldiers who participated in Project Jellyfish – a secret bio-weapons program that turns a person’s bones to dust – go after the scientists involved in the project after their babies are born without skeletons, a side-effect from being inoculated from the bio-agent. It’s pretty scary-looking how bad the victims look once their skeletons are dissolved – pretty cool-lookin’ effects. One of the soldiers is placed in a coma, forcing Walter (John Noble) to enlist the aid of an undocumented Cortexiphan patient named Simon (Omid Abtahi), who cannot control his telepathic powers, to help the Fringe Division determine where his allies will strike next.

Nina (Blair Brown) confronts Sam Weiss (Kevin Corrigan) regarding his authorship of the tomes of the First People. He tells her that the Doomsday Device powered by Peter (Joshua Jackson) can either create or destroy a universe. Odds are he’ll save the universe where the Olivia (Anna Torv) he loves exists, he tells her. Despite professing feelings for the main universe’s Olivia in this episode, Simon informs her that via his telepathy Peter still has feelings for Fauxlivia (also Torv) [A special thanks to the sharp-eyed Mania reader death4sale for stating the correct spelling of the name Walter gave to Over There’s Olivia]. So it can go either way.

A far better episode than last week’s episode – this episode really delivers with an exciting storyline, plenty of character development, forward movement on the show’s overall mythology, and some cool twists and turns.

This episode was pretty good.Yeah I agree it was a solid episode, mostly about the bioterrorism, Fringe needs to kick it up a notch.Reveal more about the doomsday device. Make it go boom or something haha

Next weeks episode takes place over there so I'm hoping it should be good.  I really liked the chemistry of the other Fringe team.....even though our Oliva was part of it.

I am so happy they have strung together a great string of episodes back from the break.  This weeks was A .  How about Olivia's shot to the guys neck!

I'm looking forward to see what is going on Over There.

About Olivia's shot to the guys neck, isn't she a much better shot now?  I seem to recall that Fauxlivia was an Olympic level shooter, and that what ever Walternate and his crew did to make Olivia believe she was Faulivia granted her Faulivia's shooting ability.

@isgrimner - I agree totally with what you said.  I think that only gives out Oliva a better advantage with her Cortaxaphan abilaites and the shooting now.

I'm just hoping we don't get a cop out and see that Fauxlivia has been given Cortex as well and is a match.
