He's probably just wanting to get onto something different and needs to exit this show first. It's only one season before the end. Why not?
So so sorry to see this show leave the air. IMHO it was the best, most consitant show on tv last season. I haven't cared this much about fictional TV characters since LOST ended it's run.
What's the point of leaving the show now? It's over in 13 episodes....
