I hope you know it's spelled "Faux-Livia"

Somewhere in Time director Jeannot Szwarc directs this episode of Fringe, which is the weakest this season thus far. However, that’s not to say it isn’t good – it is, but it’s just not as good as the previous episodes. That said, it’s still light years ahead of The Cape and No Ordinary Family, two shows that need to be put out of their misery.
There’s a serial killer targeting shape-shifters. Well, that’s what it seemed to be at first, but it’s really Peter (Joshua Jackson) getting medieval on their asses. He goes all “Terminator” on them, but hides the truth from his colleagues in the Fringe Division with the exception of Walter (John Noble). That spells trouble for him and Olivia (Anna Torv) down the road as the two are trying to come to grips with their relationship – and making steady progress – after Peter consummated his relationship with Folivia (also Torv), alias “Fake Olivia” as Walter has called her (and will be called that from here on in instead of “Bolivia”), believing she was his Olivia. It’ll certainly keep things interesting and keep the sexual tension between them alive.
There was just something about this episode that seemed to slow down the momentum of the show. It just wasn’t as frenetically paced as it usually is. However, have faith – Fringe will rev things up again. It always does.
I think the point missed here wasn't just Peter hiding things. As Walter mentioned he is changing. From what was shown there less emotion, a lot more ruthless. Walter said he was becoming weaponized. I believe stripping away what makes him more human to serve his purpose in the device.
But at least the story is moving along more.
Really enjoyed this one. And you're correct Bryzarro. It'll take Olivia's undying love to save him by the end of the season. Otherwise he'll blow up a dimension or two.
This show is really moving along well and i loved that peter was going after the shape shifters, great episode
This is the best show on television. Personally it's been my replacement for 24 for the last 3 seasons. Moving it to Friday is weird but I don't think it'll be the end of it. I'm liking the way this season is going so far, this episode was different but pretty awesome, introducing a very dark element to Peter's character is going to make things borderline uncomfortable to watch, but impossible to not watch!!
Al true. Wasn't as good as the others this season at all, but does pave the way for things to get crazy in the coming episodes.
