From SCARY MOVIE to SUPERHERO!

The creative team behind SCARY MOVIE 3 has been tapped by Dimension Films again, this time to make a parody film about comic book superheroes.
SUPERHERO! will be written by Craig Mazin, directed by David Zucker and produced by Robert Weiss. The same trio guided SCARY MOVIE 3 to its eventual $110 million dollar domestic gross. Dimension got the sirs to commit to do SCARY MOVIE 4 and an untitled project at the same time; SUPERHERO! is merely what that undefined project turned out to be. The movie will parody the superhero film genre the same way that SCARY MOVIE sent up the new wave of slasher horror flicks that SCREAM brought about.
The likely plan, so says Variety, is to begin shooting SUPERHERO! come next spring. After that picture is complete then things will move ahead for SCARY MOVIE 4.
