Gargoyles is definitely showing its age, but it's still an entertaining movie.  I bought it on DVD quite some time ago after seeing it on a shelf, and remembering all the TV rerun viewings as a kid.  It used to scare the crap out of me!  Of course now it's very tame, but back then it gave me nightmares...and I loved it!

I saw Don't Be Afraid of the Dark on a sunny summer afternoon in the late 1970's.  It was the only time I saw it, and I'm getting the chills thinking of it right now, over 30 years later.

This is not just some of the best made-for-TV horror movies but some  of the best period. All of them really pushed the bounds of TV violence for their time (And Jane Seymours nude scene in Frankenstein and Jennifer Salt's practically nonexistent hippie chick getups in Gargoyles weren't shopped liver, either!). The only one I never saw was Don't be Afraid of the Dark but it sounds like I need to check it out.

Kudos for a Great list.

I get all tingly watching Jane Seymour lick the back of her wrist with that smile.

Tim, great list.  "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" scared the shit out of me when i was a kid.  "Gargoyles" was a classic, loved that movie.
