I liked this movie a lot better when it was called "Carpool"... starring Tom Arnold.

Look who decided to grace us with his presence, must be a blue moon out,lol...I like this move better when it was called Donkey Sacks Jr, Night of the hairy Sacks...No hairy Donkey Sacks was harmed in any way during the filming of this movie, But that much can't be said about there brown eyes...This movie was filmed in the South, mainly Texas,lol...

Because of The Village and Lady in the Water, we can now say that Shyamalan's kind of fallen from grace, but I don't think so. The Village wasn't really a genre movie, but Lady in the Water was. I think this one is going to be good. We just have to wait and find out.

I stopped having high expectations for Shyamalan's movies. They usually let me down. Lady in the Water was alot better than The Village. But that wasn't hard to do. He hasn't made a movie that was as good as 6th sense. But hey, maybe he redeem himself with this flick.

I'll go to hellboy first, and then maybe this.
And Alpine, I really liked the village.

I liked the Village and I think Lady in the Water was very underrated. The best film was Unbreakable. I actually thought 6th Sense was weaker than many of his others but I will give it another chance.

I've got to agree that Unbreakable is his best film. I would love to see Shyamalan get the opportunity to make his planned trilogy of Unbreakable movies.

Ya know, when it comes to Shymalan, I think it has to be said that, while the guy is far from perfect, his stuff is fairly original, and all in all he can write a story, whether we like the story or not is up to us, but the guy can write.... there are very few people that hate all his movies, usually everyone has a favorite, and liked, or hated the rest. It's all in taste. I think the fans find it easy to turn on him because he keeps jumping genres, and the fans keep coming back expecting more of what he delivered last time, only to find themselves disappointed, and it got easier to start disliking him when he started making statments about his own talent....
My personal favorite is Unbreakable, followed closely by Signs, and the Sixth Sense.... I did not like Lady in the water yet apreciated the Village for what it was. Bottom line, at the end of the day, I will always want to see what Shymalan delivers next because you never know when he will catch his stride again.... An R rated project does sound promising.... time will tell I guess.

I like The Village, too. It wasn't my intention to make it sound like I didn't. I'm a fan of his movies. I like them a lot. I have all his movies on DVD, except for The Village. It's a cheapie movie by now. I guess I can go out and get it along with Evil Dead 1 and 2.

I'm a believer that Signs has been Shyamalan's best film to date, but what I appreciate most about his films is that he starts off with a genre storyline superficially, but as the films progress we realize there's a lot more substance to the films. Who would've expected a love story underneath the surface of a ghost story? Or a minister renewing his faith underneath a War of the Worlds-type story? I'm curious to find out what The Happening will really be about, but I'm willing to bet it will deal with Wahlberg's character needing to reconnect with someone in his family in some fashion.
