The trailer was fantastic but I find the tagline more than a little bit arrogant but whatever. Guarantee they only say Heroes Are Made in other countries without the "in America" part. Seems almost like that part was added in to get the Fox News crowd and half the south in their to see it waving their fake brand of misguided, uber-patriotism

That was awsome! I was in already now Im in for double shows.

MrJE who declared you the authority on patriotism? You're the one that sounds misguided to me

So did anybody else notice the Red Skull holding the cube - the same cube we saw at the end of Thor?

That would be the Cosmic Cube

Oh, my dear God!  I've been a fan since 1973.  I'm almost in tears.....

Maybe my wife will see it with me and we can play Steve and Peggy later.

Heroes are made in America, otherwise why would our men be traveling the globe trying to free the rest of the world?

Yeah.  The Cube.  Sweet.  Will we see the Skull's golden armor? :)

Badass! I love the look of the Boller hat guy as part of Cap's squad too. I think it's time that they stop releasing new trailers with more scenes though... I've been sold on this for a while now and I don't need to see any more to convince me to see it!

Amen Wise... you fore-read my response to JE. I'm proud of this Country and I'm glad a movie like this is not afraid to show that Patriotism either.

aegrant 6/24/2011 10:10:44 AM

Wow 8man, uh good luck with that Steve and Peggy thing.

ElBaz13 6/24/2011 10:37:54 AM

I also agree about the patriotism thing. He is called Captain America after all, not Captain Earth.  Glad Marvel Studios stuck with the patriotism thing. The true roots of the comicbook character.

Keep in mind, the moment movie studios start to change the general idea of a comicbook character, it has us fanboys screaming. Banshee = non irish in X-men First Class, Kingpin = black in DD, and the list goes on. I could even use GiJoe as an example. Making the operations worldwide as opposed to "A Real American Hero" = Breaker from France, Heavy Duty = Africa...argh! I hate when they make changes like that!

Again, glad Marvel stuck to their guns and kept the patriotism. It's a shame this movie doesn't up on July 4th, That would be so cool.

BTW, I'm Canadian. :)

i think we've talked about this before MRJ, those same things you hate about America is what Cap the popular character he is today.  Seems like a movie you should stay away from.
