Of course they're having a heated debate about patriotism over a damn movie.  They obviously have nothing better to do.  IT'S A FREAKIN' MOVIE!  A movie that won't even be released for another year!

I'm born, raised, and still live in Richmond, VA.  I'm so sick of the Confederacy vs. Union arguments.  It's over.  Let's all move on.  The world is a fu#$ed up place.  It's impossible for everyone to agree and get along with each other.  Let's just agree to disagree.  Those brave souls who serve our country give our citizens the right to disagree and protest.  And the citizens who disagree and protest need to understand that they are able to do so because of those said brave souls.  That's it.

trailer looks awesome (found it funny how she touched his chest after the experiment)

wow a political debate ! .... well as an outsider, i like the idea of keeping "america" in the origin and title ... heard they might release the movie as "the first avenger" overseas - wat the??? ... keep to the source material, people!

I'm a Canadian (Happy Canada Day, fellow Mother-Canuckers!) and I cannot wait to see this. Captain America (at least the one portrayed in this film and in the Brubaker series), is an American I would gladly follow into any war. Thanks to our internet and the new global village, two of my best friends are from Alabama and New York. Borders mean very little to people any more. This movie looks like it's going to kick royal butt and I will be there cheering the captain on all the way. Canadians have no reason not to, we do have Wolverine after all.

Everyone has national pride and that's a great thing, but there is a certain segment of Americans that have this raging hard on for their country as if it could never do wrong and is perfect in every way. I thought the beauty of the country was that you could always work on it to make it better, that nothing was set in stone and that if you had a misstep you could correct it. You were big people like that, at least once upon a time. Certainly, America used to be number one in almost every way that counted, but in terms of health, education and financial status, you're certainly not number one any more. The thing about America is that it very well could be again. That's what makes it great.

It's people are among the nicest and most giving around. I am happy to count so many of them as my friends. Your govenment's actions are what gives you a bad name worldwide, not your people. Unfortuately, you have elected a lot of idiots lately. ;)

Wow! Who knew? Captain America.... kick ass movie and kick starter of political discussions!

G'day ... I just saw transformers and can confirm that the tagline "heroes are made in america" has been removed from the captain america trailer in australia ... i suspect its for all overseas countries and prob due to commercial interests ... I KNOW RIGHT !?
