Lionsgate and director Marcus Nispel have unleashed the full new trailer for their upcoming 3D reboot of Conan the Barbarian. Check it out in the video player down below. The adventure stars Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ron Perlman, Leo Howard, Steve O'Donnell, Raad Rawi Fassir, Nonso Anozie, Bob Sapp and Milton Welsh. Helmer Nispel was behind the camera, based on a screenplay by Thomas Dean Donnelly, Joshua Oppenheimer and Sean Hood.

Plot Concept: The most legendary Barbarian of all time is back this Summer. Having thrived and evolved for eight consecutive decades in the public imagination - in prose and graphics, on the big screen and small, in games and properties of all kinds- Conan's exploits in the Hyborian Age now come alive like never before in a colossal 3D action-adventure film. A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.

Conan the Barbarian slays 3D/2D theaters on August 19, 2011.

Thanks to Pendragon0 for the submission.

wow, probably one of the few times I agree with you Hanso...this doesn't look epic, doesn't lfeellike Conan, Conan doesn't look like Conan from the books (not even mentionning the original movies)...can Conan be skinnier???

Wolverine looked bigger then this guy...

Pass.

Ha, I thought that looked great. I'm  really looking forward to this. I think it captures Conan's spirit quite well. He was always fighting sorcerers and creatures. I know Arnie will always be Conan to some but I think Momoa  pulls it off surprisingly well

Looks pretty damned crappy! From this so-called actor that is playing Conan, to the modernized "music", it lacks the power of the original in both areas. Saying Arnold is an actor IS stretching it, but he LOOKED the role better, IMO. I know purists and those who read the comics and books will say otherwise, but for me, the first Conan was a great movie. Basil Poledouris' music for the original is some of my favorite work for these kinds of films, and is brutal and powerful. James Earl Jones as Thulsa Doom is classic, and the SWORD, oh the SWORD! What a beautiful piece of craftsmanship!! And that last stand battle in the ruins was awesome! Especially the scene where the character who weilds the huge hammer get impaled by the massive spike! I remember in the theater how almost EVERYONE grabbed their chest area and groaned when that happened!

The original Conan The Barbarian may not be a cinematic masterpiece, but for that kind of fantasy film, the brutality, gore, look, music and Arnold made it a great movie that this new one will never come close to being! I'll wait until it's on cable and when I have nothing else to watch!

Notice we only heard Momoa say one line?  It's because he delivers dialogue pretty badly, they didn't want to give that away in the trailer.  Sure, I'll probably watch it in the theater as a matinee.

Saw the trailer last night and my impression is MEH.  Looks like ALOT of special effect with mediocre acting.  Has a Kevin Sorbo Hercules vibe (no offense to Kevin Sorbo - actually I do remember his 1 fantasy flick - never mind, offense intended).

yeah this doesn't look bad at all. looks better than clash of the titans imo.

I wanted to hold my judgment after the poor teaser trailer from a few months ago (It didn't tease you to want to know more). I wanted to see the full trailer and see the look and feel of the film. As much as I wanted this to get me excited, I have to agree with most of you guys. It did not impress me.

It was indeed effects filled with lots of action, but it does give me the feel of a low budget fantasy film, not the feeling of "OMG! It's Conan!!!" which is what I wanted. The new Clash of the Titans had a better trailer for itself, and again it was a remake of an older fantasy property.

Momoa looks fine to me but I'm not getting a charsimatic vibe for him like Arnold in the role.

At this point unless I see something better I probably won't see this in theaters.

Wise,  how can you say it looks good, it looks like a scorpion king sequel.  youre better than that brother.
