FUNimation's upcoming release of Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles in September has come in and some interesting tidibts are revealed in their Anime Source: Blu-ray Edition pamphlet. Similar to the Anime Source pamphlet's in their DVD releases, this one is dedicated to their high definition Blu-ray releases. Afro Samurai is the cover piece for it and they highlight other releases and the upcoming Dragon Ball Z releases and Vexille. The also provide a great little timeline of releases up through 11/11/2008 of this year with what's formally announced. They have added in a wonderful little tease though that will excite many. Coming soon with no dates yet:
Samurai 7 would mark the first anime TV series planned for release in the US as everything else has been OVAs or movies unless you count the short run Afro Samurai series.
