The January 2009 solicitations from FUNimation are now making it out to more retailers and we've got a breakdown of what to expect as the company puts out quite a few collections of their own on top of the Geneon titles that they're distributing as well as their SojitzARM based acquisitions. On the plus side, Wallflower will definitely be completed now and Utawarerumono sees a box set release (unless you're pining for a US version of that gorgeous Japanese Blu-ray set). One Piece fans get teased by having Movie 8 come out again but on Blu-ray this time in an effort to try and sway more folks there. It's a very busy month during what's normally a dead period for companies:

You know, nick: The release of otaku pacifiers like "Zeros' Familiar" and "Lyrical Nanoha" wouldn't've been possible without the constant "knocking on the doors" of the "Texal Overloards."
If you want what they have on Blu-Ray, you just have to keep "knocking on their door.
My argument is still there: Plot and character development need to be at a higher level before the "Blu-Ray" visual quality should be.
Alright...to all my fellow Case Closed fans...now is the time to buy the new DVD sets if you've waited till new episode releases. Perhaps if they sell well enough, they'll keep releasing these.
