Amid the latest crisis of the week in the forums, in which it was discovered that the ending sequence for Birdy the Mighty was altered due to a lack of clean materials for the credits (similar to My Bride is a Mermaid), FUNimation sent out notice to retailers that the first set of the series which is due out on 10/26/2010 is being recalled. While some fans may have been hopeful that it was the ending issue at the heart of it, Shawne Kleckner of Right Stuf noted in the discussion thread about it that it's a replication issue as the discs do not have the proper episodes it seems. While a recall plan is generally in order, it was later noted that, at least with regards to Right Stuf customers, they're asking people to not send in their sets just yet and to hold out for a bit more information as they hope to be able to just send out proper discs to replace the bad ones for those that already received their sets from them. As more details firm up, we'll add them here. The fixed version of the set has been rescheduled to release alongside the second set on 11/30/2010 now.
Update: While FUNimation has not indicated what the replication is specifically, someone receiving the set has posted that the second disc in the set is "Dragon Ball Z Season 4 disc 2".
