Navarre has been talking for awhile now about its plans to try and sell off FUNimation as they focus on their actual core businesses, something that FUNimation doesn't really fit in with. According to some new filings as of yesterday, there are six potential suitors of interest in the company, though none are named and no details are provided about it since it's all in very preliminary stages. Navarre has also said there's a possibility that they may not sell it off and that they're not in a huge rush, giving some hope that they want to find the right partner for the company which has at many times been the main generator of profit for the corporation.
Navarre Corp. discussed news that "six indications of interest" have come forward regarding the potential sale of FUNimation during its annual shareholders meeting on Sept. 15. It anticipated receiving final offers within 30 - 60 days, however the company gave no assurances that a transaction will be consummated.
