FUNimation is promoting a new survey today, one that fans of packaged media really need to take the time to work with since what they do could also impact other publishers depending on the effectiveness of any changes made from it. One of the complaints from a segment of fans in the last few years is how packaging has changed with releases. The reasons are multiple, but one of them is that retailers, especially those in the real world, don't like stocking these large packages that were coming out for awhile as it impacted space and often didn't sell for a number of reasons. With more and more fans buying online though and more of these people being collectors who want something a little more, FUNimation is doing a survey to find out what people want. And they're offering a prize for those involved to try and get you to take a stab at winning.
FUNimation releases all 24-26 episode season series as Part 1 and Part 2 releases with 12-13 episodes in each.
We are looking at releasing the Part 1 of our new titles as a First Press Limited Edition. We want to know your opinion on this type of release.

14
* If a series you want to purchase is released first on DVD but the Blu-ray version is delayed by several months to a year, what would you do?
Purchase the DVD.
Wait until the Blu-ray is released and buy that.
Buy the DVD and then buy the Blu-ray when it comes out.
We release Blu-ray with two types of materials. True HD materials that are HD native and a Remastered HD created from original standard definition materials because HD materials were not originally created.
15
* If a series you like was created in standard definition and we made a Remastered HD Blu-ray created from the original standard definition materials, how likely are you to buy it?
No. I would not purchase.
Yes. I would purchase the release.
Depends on the reviews of the release.
I would buy If the price of the Blu-ray is close to the price of the DVD.
Dear customers, thank you for your support of our company.
Here, there's good news to tell you: The company recently
launched a number of new fashion items! ! Fashionable
and welcome everyone to come buy. If necessary, please
input:
Took the survey. Added comments about wanting things like iron-on patches for backpacks/shirts and figures with box sets. Had an idea--can they have a fan-contest to include a promotional AMV (anime music video) as an extra on the official DVDs/Blu rays, if they get permission from the Japanese? I would find that much more of an incentive to buy than boring old commentaries.
