Day 48 of Peter Jackson's remake of KING KONG has come and gone, but there's video to be seen of the work Jackson has done. The Kong Is King website has been following the production through its daily routine, logging entries about what scenes are being filmed and how far along into the shoot the crew are. Today the LORD OF THE RINGS director sent a special treat to the website in the form of 10 seconds of special effects test footage used in the production, giving us our first true glimpse of how the environments for the great ape will look.
"Peter is not relying only on CGI to create depth and atmosphere, he is very cleverly using a mix of live action, models and CGI," remarked Michael Regina, the Segment Producer of Kong Is King. "Some amazing stuff! One question...who was the guy in the CGI suit!?!"
