This is the best news I've heard all week.... Eat it Spider... your pain has been extended till at least 2007.

But seriously, this show rocks!!!

I agree, this is great news. BSG is a really good show despite the opinions of people like Spider. I can't wait for the new episodes of season 2 next year.

That's great news!

Speaking of renewals and cancellations, I'm surprised that I haven't seen Cinescape report on the cancellation of "Night Stalker." I'm not sad to see it go - that was a "re-imagining" (or whatever is the current trendy word for "remake") that just didn't work IMHO.

The new Galactica is an excellent show. I'm just dying (insert sarcasm here) to see spider's comments, his references to other web articles and Glen Larson's comments about the new Galactica being such a ripoff. The new Galactica is a smartly written, produced and acted show.

Great news indeed. Buy why do you folks encourage comments from the ignoramus? Beware of fools bearing statistics...

As much as I liked the original when I was a kid, I absolutely love this the re-imagined version. I'm just another person that proves you don't have to hate one to love the other. Glad it's goin' for three. But please, no more Richard Hatch episodes.

Dude, don't hate on Richard Hatch! I kind of like how he bridges the gap between old and new. I might add that his character is pretty cool. I would actually like to see other cameos or recurring roles using other stars of the original series. Great news on the renewal though. BSG is the best show on TV and I am having withdrawals.

They should get the two Starbucks together in an ep. I do like Hatch's character, and Spider`s rants and his hatred of the new BSG are just laughable. I mean who cares what Glen Larson thinks of the show. If he had his way, it would still be this boring space western with no character development and bad f/x.

The new BSG is one of the best shows on cable(and that's outside the sci-fi category as well). Great characters, involved plot arcs, and they don't rely heavily on CGI special effects shots to overwhelm the audience, instead use it to build a plausible universe they're in as any backdrop for a show. At least we don't see the same John Dykstra Viper shot blasting laser cannons over and over and over and over again in every episode like the "classic" BSG...(eyes rolling here)

(spider bait....tcha-cha-cha....)

Awesome news! I am extremely anxious to see the continuation from last season's cliffhanger ending. BSG is simply a great show with so much depth and drama that you can't help but want more. Thanx to Sci-Fi for knowing a good thing and not passing on it. See you guys on Jan 6th!
