Galaxy Angel X Detailed

Galaxy Angel X has had its solicitation finally come out at long last and it's an interesting one to be sure. The final season of the series is being released in a complete collection but with something of a twist. Along the way, out of the thirteen episodes, they decided to dub only the first eight. Depending on how its read, this could be conceived as just the first eight stories, or the equivelant of the first four episodes. If they consider the set to have twenty-six episodes/stories, then it would make sense. As it stands, the solicitation simply lists eight episodes as being dubbed and the rest not.
Galaxy Angel has had a very tumultuous release in the US since it began several years ago. The original release was lavishly done with limited edition material and a very attractive heavy chipboard box. The second season was done in single form as well but with no box while the third season was done as a straightforward brick collection. The fourth season strangely went back into the realm of the singles and then the Galaxy Angel S OVA was put out on a single release by itself. Now for the final season of the core series, it's being done in a brick collection but with only a partial dub as well. And, of course, Bandai Visual USA released the Galaxy Angel Rune series in single form at $50 a disc.
