Zach Galifianakis may have recovered from a bout of The Hangover over the summer but he will soon have to deal with a great fall as well. HR reports the comedian-actor entered negotiations to voice the Humpty Dumpty character in "Shrek" spinoff Puss in Boots. Screenwriter Tom Wheeler is currently fleshing out the story for the prequel, which is being directed by Chris Miller (Shrek the Third).

Plot Concept:
The film feature the voices of Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek in a story about the events leading up to the feline assassin's first meeting with Shrek & Co. in the second film.

Puss in Boots will hit theaters November 4, 2011.

But the Puss character will next been seen in Shrek Forever After on May 21, 2010.

Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek, I can't wait for the Desperado refrences to fly.

Zach Galifianakis owns!  He was great in The Hangover, he's cool in HBO's Bored to Death and you know he's gonna be awesome in Due Date, Dinner for Schmucks and The Hangover 2.

Galiafianakis should be a Ghostbuster.  Galifianakis FTW!!

SIGHHHHHH I just can't bring myself to comment on such crappy sequels anymore

Wiseguy 11/5/2009 8:12:37 AM

So Galifianakis is hanso's new man love. This guy jumps from man to man every couple of weeks

Brodee 11/5/2009 9:16:52 AM

Galifianakis should be one of the new Ghostbusters! Great call Hanso. I loved that guy ever since Out Cold. But I never understood why he was in Tru Calling. Steady paycheck for a while I guess.

hanso 11/5/2009 9:51:43 AM

Brodee - He definitely should be a Ghostbuster but I fear he may be too old, I think the guy is like 40 years old.  Did you see Visioneers?  I read Galifianakis gives a more serious performance in it.  I got it on my Netflix queque to checkout eventually.

Wiseguy, first of all nowhere in my post have I said anything about manlove or crush so don't be talking about what you don't know.  I don't want you starting something with me and Bradley Cooper ok.  Second of all, why you so concerned about my man loves?  You jealous papi?  Don't worry you still got a special place in heart.

Wiseguy 11/5/2009 3:43:25 PM

Ok now I feel better. I get jealous everytime I think someone jumped in front of me.

I have always liked Zach since one of my favorite guilty pleasures "Out Cold". He is a funny dude.....good to see him finally getting some fame

Oh Vey

Funny how all the guys get wet for this guy and yet still think Seth Rogen is a humorless fat slob. His stand comedy perfrmances are great  but  this  is like the rise of Jack Black 2.0 and its not like Jack Black is going anymore.

Hangover and Shrek are mediocre films at best and Zach does not have the talent for Venkman or Stanz offspring. Maybe Stay-puft or Slimer but not a real Ghostbuster. Zach could be a Filmation Ghostbuster.

Cue box office results as to justification of film greatness.  I will look forward to Bradley Cooper disappearing unless he gains success by finally coming out of the closet.
