Warner Bros. Pictures has revealed 59 screenshots for Terminator Salvation, the fourth installment which will hit theaters in two weeks.

The sequel, the first of a new trilogy, stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common, Jane Alexander and Helena Bonham Carter. Director McG was behind the camera, based on a screenplay by John Brancato and Michael Ferris.

IESB has also published all 10 clips from the film in one place here.

Plot Summary: The year is 2018.

Judgment Day has come and gone, leveling modern civilization. An army of Terminators roams the post-apocalyptic landscape, killing or collecting humans where they hide in the desolate cities and deserts. But small groups of survivors have organized into a Resistance, hiding in underground bunkers and striking when they can against an enemy force that vastly outnumbers them.

Controlling the Terminators is the artificial intelligence network Skynet, which became self-aware 14 years earlier and, in the blink of an eye, turned on its creators, unleashing nuclear annihilation on an unsuspecting world.

Only one man saw Judgment Day coming. One man, whose destiny has always been intertwined with the fate of human existence: John Connor (Christian Bale).

Now the world is on the brink of the future that Connor has been warned about all his life. But something totally new has shaken his belief that humanity stands a chance of winning this war: the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger from the past whose last memory is of being on death row before awakening in this strange, new world.

Connor must decide whether Marcus can be trusted. But as Skynet adapts new strategies to end the Resistance forever, Connor and Marcus must find common ground to take a stand against the onslaught--to infiltrate Skynet and meet the enemy head-on.

Terminator Salvation will hit theaters May 21, 2009.

Visually it looks stunning. Hopefully the script is as strong as the visuals. I heard Christian Bale demanded re-writes until it was something that would work on stage without effects.

Terminator Salvation leaked!  If you put together the entire 10 clips plus the 59 images you get the movie.  And if you add Bale's rant you even get some behind the scenes action.

I hope Bale's rant makes it to the DVD/Blu Ray version of the film.

Cacaoatl - Christian Bale told McG if no rewrites took place he was done with him professionally.

Terminator Salvation will be better than Terminator: Rise of the Machines but it will completely fail when compared against James Cameron's masterpieces, especially Terminator: Judgement Day.

McG ain't got nothing on Cameron.

Also, James Cameron's Avatar is similar to looking straight into an eclipse. You will go blind. The human brain is not yet capable of handling the visual overload that will be unleashed soon.

I saw a featurette through my tivo that gave a better sense of the film and it looks like the film really is more about Marcus. This isn't news by any means just that it seemed to prove it to me at least.

Bale is an asshole. But that won't keep me from seeing this or anythinmg else he does with Terminator or Batman but after that I'm done with him professionally

Wiseguy 5/11/2009 6:08:33 AM

Of course McG doesn't even begin to compare to Cameron. You could count in one hand with two amputated fingers the directors that could stand next to him.

Dying to see something from Avatar. Hope it doesn't get delayed cause of all new tech being incorporated into the film

hanso 5/11/2009 6:21:22 AM

No you can't watch Avatar, you are not prepared for it. You must train your mind and your body for many months before you can attempt to see it, if not you will brain will melt and you will end up retarded or in a vegetable state.

First you gotta start with those puzzles, where you have to stare at them until you can see an object. The games where you have to spot the differences between 2 pictures is also a good excercise.

I'm done with Bale professionally also but on a personal level i'm only just beginning.

hanso 5/11/2009 6:22:42 AM

Im pretty sure Christian Bale directed Terminator Salvation.

Bryzarro 5/11/2009 6:23:26 AM

Well I hope it's true because Bale is a fine and talented actor.  Going far back before Batman.  So if he is making suggestions for re-writes to the script it can only help improve the movie.  I'm getting so jazzed for this movie.  It looks like he and Rockwell end up going on a two man mission to Skynet to see WTF is going on.

Rant or not Bale is the man!!

hanso 5/11/2009 6:32:50 AM

Who is this Rockwell you speak of?

Also, you don't need to hope that it's true because it is a fact. Bale told McG to go away and bring him something better. This coming from a man that apparently thought Reign of Fire was a good script.  That leaves me to assume that what McG handed Bale that day they met was a single piece of paper with the words Terminator on it wrapped in dog poo poo.

Jonathan Nolan then did some work on the script, I think prior to him Paul Haggis also took a stab at it.

Wiseguy 5/11/2009 6:40:17 AM

I've been prepping and waiting for Avatar for about 2 years, trying to get any info on it whatsoever, hell that's my movie of the year. I'm a disciple of JC so I think I'm ready to tackle the beast.

Yeah, who is this Rockwell Bryzarro speaks of? Or maybe he only exists in his backward universe.
