Superhero Hype has learned that actor Taylor Kitsch ("Friday Night Lights") will play Remy LeBeau aka Gambit in the upcoming origin tales. There's been rumors that the character will be making an appearance since production was scheduled for New Orleans locations and now, SHH is confirming the actor signing a three picture deal.
Time for the unconfirmed reports surrounding the Dead Pool character.
I'd say AICN is breaking something here with the possibility of Ryan Reynolds playing "Dead Pool" in the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine. But it's not a new rumor. Comingsoon reported this a few weeks back and it's still under Movie Rumor Control until someone gets a confirmation from the production. For now Maniacs, there's a possibility that Mr. Reynolds is still under consideration as making a cameo in the next Wolverine adventure as "Dead Pool".We've had also had it under Rumor Control that Reynolds would be playing the "Flash" for quite sometime now in its own seperate movie franchise.
Plot Summary: Leading up to the events of "X-Men," "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine will hit theaters May 1, 2009.
