With less than a week to go before season 2, HBO released another featurette, “You Win or You Die”, for Game of Thrones. Series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have a lot to live up to as fans are chopping at the bit for more Thrones. Can the second season of George R.R. Martin’s popular book series live up to hype? Check out Mania next week, as we will have a review after every episode for this season of Game of Thrones.

Based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, this hit Emmy-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom. Among the returning members of the ensemble cast are Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Emmy winner Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Lena Headey and Kit Harington. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss executive produce.

Season 2 premieres Sunday April 1st with “The North Remembers” and will be director by Alan Taylor.

I wonder how they're going to introduce the robot man from the moon. Or is that in Storm of Swords. At first I thought that was far fetched when they first introduced him but I've gotten use to the fact by now. It might be in the third book - you'd think they said who they cast by now.

 And don't forget the vampires.

They actually aired this over the weekend on the local CW.

Sunday night is going to be an awesome night

No kidding.  It'll fill in the hole that Walking Dead left.  I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with Rob Stark this year.  Seeing as he is never a POV character in the books, the show will have to create a lot of material for him.  Should be interesting to see.  And I can't wait to see all the new characters, especially Davos and Brienne.  I agree with flyinroo, it's gonna be a long week.

Gawd, I hate the character of Daenerys.  Everytime they featured her and her "moon and stars" barbarian lover I lost interest.  That part of the story just doesn't interest me.  I'm sure fans of the book love it, but dragons really take me out of the story.  I like the realism and could really do without monsters.  But, I guess there is something for everyone.
