It doesn't matter what she goes through or how many people she conquers, but everytime I see Daenerys on screen, I remember her getting it from behind by Drogo.

has there ever been a better show on television? even close? if they split each of the next three books into 2 seasons each, then we can look forward to 7 more seasons of pure awesomeness.

I admit that I really like the show and think it's one of the best things on television (on a par with Continuum, Justified and The Americans...better than The Walking Dead). I never miss an episode,  however some of the episodes I've had to watch twice because I fell asleep the first time I tried to get through them.  I never remember falling asleep during an episode of  Deadwood, the Sopranos, Rome or The Wire.  I find that Game of Thrones often plays like a soap opera (like many English shows...Very talky and uninteresting).  As much as I like it.  I hope it doesn't go on for 7 more seasons...because that may confirm what some friends who are reading the books are telling me.  They think GRRM doesn't have a clue how to end the story and they express frustration that the last couple of books haven't gone anywhere or resolved anything.

Martin, just annouce Jon Snow's true lineage and have him and Daenarys hook and conquer evil and be done with it please. I am afraid you are going to die before completing it!
