Game of Thrones Season 4: Trailer #4

The Devil Inside

Season 4 arrives April 6th, 2014

After the New York City premiere of the fourth season of Game of Thrones on March 18th, a new trailer has emerged. This trailer, titled “The Devil Inside” features a cover of INXS’ song with the same name.

Synopsis: Encouraged by the Red Wedding slaughter in the Riverlands that wiped out many of their Stark nemeses, the Lannisters’ hold on the Iron Throne remains intact … but can they survive their own egos, as well as new and ongoing threats from the south, north and east? While an unbowed Stannis Baratheon continues to rebuild his army in Dragonstone, a more immediate danger comes from the south, as Oberyn Martell, the Lannister-loathing “Red Viper of Dorne,” arrives at King’s Landing to attend Joffrey’s wedding to Margaery Tyrell, and perhaps act on an ulterior agenda. In the north, a depleted Night’s Watch seems overmatched against the inexorable Wall advances of Mance Rayder’s army of wildlings, which in turn is being trailed by an even more formidable foe: the undead White Walkers. As if that weren’t enough, Daenerys Targaryen, accompanied by her menacing trio of dragons and army of Unsullied, is poised to liberate Meereen, the largest city in Slaver’s Bay, which could ultimately provide her with enough ships to sail to Westeros and reclaim the Iron Throne.

 I was going to say the same thing till I read your post, Vio... Oh, WTH

Man, I love this freaking show!!!

This season looks like it's going to be fantastic!

This show is fantastic. Now, Mania, why don't you focus some resources on reveiwing Vikings on History channel? It is aaaalllmost as cool as Game of Thrones and just about as well written, espeically since it is its own source material. While there are visions of Norse God interventions, its grounded in reality, but no less worthy of coverage here, considering some of the other shows mentioned on this site. If you Thrones fans haven't been watching it, do so. It's really good.

invisioner... you're clearly deluded... "aaaalllmost as cool as Game of Thrones"? NOPE. "...just about as well written..." DOUBLE NOPE. Is it a good show? Definitely watchable, but I'd say there's a LOT of TV on right now that's superior to it: GoT, Mad Men, Walking Dead, Justified, the VERY underrated Hannibal (could be the most iconic portrayal of Hannibal Lector ever... yes, even more than Sir Anthony Hopkins).

Vikings has some large quirks with writing and believable character motivation. And, quite honestly, it suffers from what a lot of shows suffer from: cliche and predictability. But, yes, Lagertha and the leading guy (can't remember his show name) are a memorable TV couple for sure. Hell, I watch this show almost 50% for the hotness: Lagertha.

But, I have to return to what I almost call nerd blashemy... How dare you compare Vikings to Game of Thrones. How dare you? Your credibility has just took a nosedive down a 3rd world Andy Gump

 I was gonna say I only have room for one epic medieval type of show in my world, and i prefer the one with dragons and R-rated sex scenes, but Calamity's comment pretty much detoured me from even trying out Vikings now.

@violator -

it's watchable. definitely. just don't expect GoT or even the ugly cousin of GoT. The two shouldn't even be compared. I like it better than Almost Human and SHIELD... but I might have been unfair to SHIELD (which I dumped after episode 3).

One of the best shows ever.  CAN NOT WAIT!!!

CJ you're absolutely right about Vikings. I dropped it towards the end of the first season. It can't hold a candle to GOT. I think if GoT did not exist Vikings might have been looked at differently but GoT has raised the bar so high all these wannabes just look silly to me.

It's a similar that happened after LOTR. All the similar genre films just could not measure up.

Saw a piece about Martin talking about how he's trying to avoid the show ending before he finishes his last 2 books.

Word from HBO I think is they're aiming for about 7 to 8 seasons. That fat bastard needs to start cranking that shit out
