I still think he just found the "Battle Angel" in the garbage

I'm extremely confused how that rock formed in between those buildings.  I mean if its sediment piled up over years and years and now it has eroded away to reveal the buildings that were buried, well that is unbelieavable but i suppose technically possible the overwhemingly unlikely. I mean the layers of Rock would have crushed the structure unless it also filled up with rock.  Which again is possible, but no way could it ever happen, and then there is the look of the rock. That aside it looks cool.

But Dang I mean New York is no where near mountains which would mean it would have had to have dropped below sea level for that amount of deposition and that said the gelology in the area doesn't make that very likely and then to re-rise to this point is just again Highly unlikely unless we are talking over a course of hundreds of millions of years, and then again, how could the buildings survive that pressure, its just ridiculous.

Space ship looks cool.

Kept thinking of Wall-E while reading the synopsis.

Almost - have you been able to catch the Ken Burns documentary "The Dust Bowl" on PBS? Events like that, which actally happened in the US in the 1930's, could very well explain a phenomena like this.

That aside, this sounds and looks like very cool movie, but DANG! Tom Cruise seems to be in everything these days - it's getting to be overkill.

Sounds great! Can't wait to see a trailer.

But the plot does sound similar to Will Smith's next called After Earth. 1000 years in the future Will along with his real life son Jaden crash land on the now abandoned Earth and meet a young girl there.

I wonder if these two buddies got together and compared post-apocalyptic Earth notes.

 @almost, it's just a sci- fi  movie relax man.. there is nothing realistic about any sci-fi movie just go with the flow. the poster looks cool.
